At Craige Barker Photography, we specialise in headshots for actors and actresses.  We endeavour to bring out the individual’s personality but also show what is original and interesting about them.

Typically, a headshot is a photograph taken from the collarbones upwards.  Actors need to keep their headshots up to date so that the photographs look like the person who turns up for the audition.  This may mean multiple visits to a photographer particularly if the actor has changed their look significantly and our intention at Craige Barker Photography is that every time you call, you always get the same professional but personal experience and leave with a portfolio of shots that will help you succeed in your career.

We always take a relaxed approach to our work so that the subject is relaxed and the photographs then show each actor in their best light, both literally and metaphorically.   Headshots can be an important way of getting an actor noticed so we try to put an original spin on each shoot, allowing the personality to shine through but also showing a mix of emotions and moods.

Advice to actors is to always seek out an experienced professional who has familiarity with taking headshots.  Make sure the photographs are natural-looking rather than in heavy make-up and look at the lighting, background and framing of the photograph.  At Craige Barker Photography we aspire to the same standards as you, our client, aspire and as you will see from our gallery, endeavour to meet the requirements of both actors and directors.
